The NEW ECHANDIA CORE

30% lower cost

30% smaller footprint

"Lower upfront cost. Smaller footprint.
Same proven LTO performance."

Felix Backgård - Head of Technical Sales

Echandia Core is the new high-energy marine battery system designed to deliver the perfect balance between performance, lifetime, and cost. Built on lithium-titanium-oxide (LTO) cell technology, it is engineered for both fully electric and hybrid vessel applications, with minimal degradation and predictable performance over time.

30% Lower cost

Lowering the upfront cost barrier for LTO

30% Smaller footprint

Compared with Echandia’s previous battery system

Fast charging

3C Charge and discharge rates

Extreme longevity

Consistent performance throughout the system lifetime

Built around real project economics

LTO has always made a strong case on total cost of ownership, long lifetime, fast charge and discharge, minimal degradation. The challenge has been upfront cost.

Echandia Core changes that. Focused engineering around real project economics brings the entry point down, so more operators can access the lifecycle benefits from day one.

Designed for demanding operations

Echandia Core is our battery system for both energy-demanding operations, such as fully electric vessels, and hybrid configurations requiring extended reserve capacity. With an operating profile of 5 to 10 cycles per day, Echandia Core delivers strong value for energy-driven applications.

High-voltage design for maximum efficiency

Echandia Core supports system configurations of up to 1,500 volts for higher system efficiency. Higher-voltage operation reduces current, which in turn lowers losses and means more usable energy from every kilowatt-hour purchased. This capability is currently unique to Echandia in the marine battery market.

For both full electric propulsion and demanding hybrid solutions

Echandia Core is a system powerful enough to serve as the primary energy source for many full electric operations. At the same time, it is ideal for hybrid architectures, enabling spinning reserve, peak shaving, backup power (UPS), and load leveling.

Configuration

High power for short cycles

For vessels that need instant power, repeatedly. Tailored for operations requiring high power output and frequent cycling, more than seven cycles per day. Vessel types: Ferries and RoRo, Container Ships and Tankers.
